As the highest peak in the Manang Himalayan range, Chulu West's eastern boundary extends from Chako Peak (6687m) along the Hunlung Khola, Nar Khola, and Phu Khola rivers, while being bordered by the Marsyangdi Khola and Mesokanta La to the south. This region offers awe-inspiring mountain vistas, including the iconic Fishtail, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and various peaks of the Annapurna range. It also treats trekkers with magnificent scenes of monsoon rainforests and rhododendron forests.

The trail to Chulu West Peak traverses through the renowned Thorang La Pass, the picturesque Manang Valley, and the base camp. From there, the ascent follows the North-West ridge leading to the summit.
