Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world with an altitude of 8,586m (28,169 ft) is situated in Nepal's eastern border with India. The name Kanchenjunga means 'Crystal clear' in Nepali. It is known as the 'Five treasures of the Great Snow'. Trek to Mt. Kanchenjunga is one of the least visited and unexplored trekking routes in Nepal. The journey to the Queen of the mountains comprises of three trekking trails- Northern Base Camp, Southern Base Camp or the combination of two routes.
